The objectives of the Metropolitan Ice Rink Managers Association are:

  • To encourage and promote ice skating in all of its aspects, particularly as participant sports and recreation.
  • To provide information and help for the mutual benefit of its members and prospective members.
  • To hold regular meetings for the exchange of information and ideas.
  • To plan and act in mutual projects for the benefit of participating members.





ISI Recreational Team Competition

Sunday, March 26th, 2017
Wonderland of Ice in Bridgeport, Connecticut

This event is open to ALL SKATERS, at ALL LEVELS. Learn to Skate USA and All USFS skaters are welcome and encouraged to participate under the ISI/USFS Joint Statement of Policy. Skaters who are not current ISI members may join the Institute for an additional $15 fee, which will be added to your first event. The competition committee will assist you in crossing over to the ISI system including, determining your ISI test level(s), selecting your events and filling out your application. All events will include a “Collegiate” and “Adult” grouping at every level.

“Skate for Knowledge” Championships

April 8 & 9, 2017
RoseGarden Ice Arena, Norwich, CT

Entry forms must be postmarked by March 27, 2017. If mailed after this date, please include a late fee of $50.00 in addition to the entry fees, there will be no exceptions. All entry fees must be paid before competing. MIRMA reserves the right to limit the number of entries, eliminate events and refuse late entries. There will be no refunds given. Returned checks are subject to a fee of $35.00.

ALSO, many USFS skaters are using the ‘OPEN’ Bronze to Platinum events to try out their programs. Many Teams and Ensemble groups are expected to enter.
